Our Mission: Solve Problems

As the leading breeder of American Bulldogs in the world, our dogs are renown for superior genetics and great health in a breed that is plagued by hereditary diseases. Through strict selective breeding over decades, we consistently produce dogs with phenomenal anatomies, high intelligence, strong immune systems, and beautiful phenotypes.

Our pursuit of perfection will never end.

The Problem

Despite achieving great control over genetics, dogs living in the United States continued to suffer certain health problems that were either extraordinarily rare or non-existent in Grand Future American Bulldog peers living in other countries across the globe.

We identified two key problems unique to the United States:

  1. Dog food - Largely unregulated, with abysmal quality control and use of junk ingredients and toxins. Most European countries prohibit imports of American-made dog food due to contaminants and toxic by-products. Brands like Royal Canin, Purina, and Hill's are forced to produce a completely different, higher-quality product for the European market.
  2. Veterinary care - Rampant malpractice, especially in treating issues caused by junk food. Vets often misdiagnose skin breakouts caused by the dog's desperate attempt to expel toxic byproducts from the food as "allergies," then administer steroids and immunosuppressants like Apoquel, making the problem even worse instead of addressing the root cause. It's a vicious cycle and sure way to an early grave.

We experimented with dozens of dog foods for years — from "super-premium" kibbles and commercial raw diets to the exorbitant freeze-dried and air-dried options on the market. They had problems that either appeared immediately or over the medium term.

  • Some of our dogs refused to touch a supposedly incredible freeze-dried raw meat food. We learned that there are only two ways to sanitize the raw meat that is freeze-dried - gassing it with chlorine or applying thousands of tons per cubic inch of pressure on the product to literally destroy the DNA of the pathogens. What they don't tell you is that process also changes the molecular structure of the meat - that's no longer meat - it's Frankenmeat that discerning dogs know not to touch. We experienced same issues with commercial raw foods - discerning dogs would refuse to touch, probably because the meat was chemically treated for disinfection.
  • When we tried a leading air-dried dog food brand - it was immediately clear they spent much more on marketing than they did in formulating the food. The ingredient list looked amazing, the bag had an appetizing professional design, and yet ... our dogs' poop came out incredibly dry, literally crumbling in your hands like clay. Other times some of our dogs would have indigestion. That's not normal. And $200 for an 8.8 lb bag is obscene.
  • With kibbles, some inherent problems caused by the processing and cooking are just unavoidable. First, all kibbles contain 30%-70% junk fillers in order to form the shape of the kibble so it doesn't crumble after superheating. Superheating destroys most of whatever nutrition was contained in the raw ingredients, so actual nutrition is then added back in through synthetic chemicals. Potent chemical preservatives need to be added to "protect" those chemical additives from disintegrating. All of this can lead to intoxication of the organism over time and the symptoms are very, very often misdiagnosed by veterinarians as "allergies." For example, toxicity build up from commonly used synthetic preservatives like BHA, BHT, and ethoxyquin can eventually lead to sudden breakouts on the skin months or even years later. Take that dog to the vet and they'll usually tell you "the dog has allergies." No, the dog suddenly broke out all over its body or is exhibiting symptoms of a compromised immune system with frequent infections because the organism can't handle the continuing toxicity build up anymore. The dog gets yeast infections, bacterial infections and mite infections because the skin barrier is compromised as the dog tries to expel the toxins through the skin in a last ditch effort. Not only does the vicious cycle never end, its a downward spiral - each time the symptoms are made worse after temporary relief from vet-administered medications that suppress the immune system even more.
  • "Grain free" kibble - we never even touched this group of foods because it was obviously a scam from the beginning. Dogs don't have "allergies" to grains. By the way, dogs definitely don't have "allergies" to meats. They are carnivores. Dogs exhibiting allergy-like symptoms are usually responding to toxin build up from junk food because the organism can't metabolize the synthetics. Some dog food companies leveraged the opportunity presented by veterinary industry incompetence of seeking a solution to the wrong problem at the cost of thousands of dead dogs. Dog food companies replaced cheap carbohydrate grain fillers with even cheaper protein legume fillers like peas and lentils to pad their bottom line. But they didn't stop there - since this junk already contained protein, they replaced most of the mystery meats that go into making the kibble with more peas and lentils. This vegetarian junk food was oftentimes recommended by clueless vets for dogs suffering from digestive problems and autoimmune symptoms brought on by other junk food, and to no one's surprise many dogs ended up dead. Again, dogs are carnivores. They can't survive on legumes - their organs will fail. Despite our repeated warnings starting nearly a decade ago to our dog owners, we did have a few unfortunate situations:
  1. One dog passed away from heart failure at just 5 years old after years of eating "grain free" kibble filled with legumes. It contained barely any meat.
  2. We were able to save a dog after finding out about the owner's diet switch about 6 months in. Very expensive pea & potato kibble. The American Bulldog had gained 20 lbs in fat that surrounded his organs - no flappy rolls on the outside at all, was pissing blood and refusing to drink water. Got diagnosed with bladder stones when we took him to our vet. The owner told us the dog would constantly crave food, so he fed him more while trying to regularly force him to drink water because his urine was pungent and dark orange in color. Yes - a carnivore will always be hungry if you don't feed him meat. An avid swimmer all his life from puppyhood, he now could not even cover 20 feet in the pool without sinking from exhaustion. We immediately had the owner switch to our Grand Future Dog Food formula and added raw beef & organs on top of the baseline air-dried meat to help the organism heal. After some months of proper diet full of beef, the bladder stones thankfully resolved and the dog's health recovered.

The Solution

It became clear that air-dried cooking of the meat at low temperature, just sufficient enough to kill off dangerous pathogens, is the best possible compromise as a process that can deliver dog food that is nutritious, safe, and convenient. Meat that is dehydrated and cooked by air-drying will not spoil for a very long time if stored properly.

Several years ago we finally developed the Grand Future Dog Food formula, first feeding it to our own dogs and then making it available to our owners across the US. By standardizing the dog food among our owners, we eliminated food as the possible cause of health problems overnight, making any diagnostics for the rare issues that do arise infinitely simpler - we know this food is not the culprit. If it was, we'd immediately see the same symptoms among our own dogs and our owners' dogs.

As a consumer of Grand Future Dog Food this is your safety net: We are more invested in the quality and nutrition of our food than anyone else - something that no other dog food company can possibly claim with a straight face.

Our own dogs' and hundreds of our owners' dogs' health & lives are on the line. Our entire life's work as a breeder is on the line. Your interest in providing safe and quality nutrition to your dogs is completely aligned with ours as the maker of Grand Future Dog Food. By making our dog food available to the public, regular dog owners can finally stop their endless search for food that won't harm their dog.

Grand Future Dog Food has now been helping our owners' dogs stay healthy from puppyhood through old age. Random bacterial, fungal, and yeast infections, immune-related issues and digestive problems plummeted thanks to this food.

The food you feed your dog will make the single biggest impact on long-term health of the organism. Not only does proper nutrition mitigate risks to health, it can save you thousands of dollars in veterinary care and avoid the typical vicious spiral of degrading health often caused by excessive and inappropriate use of potent medications that mask the symptoms without ever addressing the source of the illness.

Our goal is to offer proper nutrition for all canines at the lowest possible price point.

We are able to keep the price low while offering the best quality nutrition in the market by:

  1. Minimizing marketing expenses - whether advertising or even the bag design itself.
  2. Maintaining a small and efficient operation.
  3. No Returns Policy: We do not accept returns. We confidently stand behind the quality of our food, which is enjoyed daily by hundreds of Grand Future American Bulldogs, including our own pets at home. For maximum control over quality, we always ship freshly packed bags direct from the factory. Refunds will be processed on a case-by-case basis if the product itself arrives damaged.
