About AAFCO Nutritional Guidelines for Dogs

We believe the AAFCO Nutritional Guidelines are wholly insufficient to protect the health and well-being of our pets. For one, AAFCO does not differentiate between meat proteins and fats from non-meat origins. Dozens of kibble brands manufactured "grain-free" dog foods in which they replaced not just the grains but also most of the meat content with cheap junk fillers like peas, lentils, and other legumes rich in protein, killing thousands of dogs and leaving many more to suffer. They did this to maximize profits. All those foods met the AAFCO guidelines for nutrition and clueless vets across the country pushed this poison on unsuspecting pet owners. Dogs need a sufficient amount of animal meat and organs in order to survive. Nutrition from non-animal sources cannot sustain a canine organism, no matter how many lab-made artificial nutrients are added in an attempt to cheaply replicate the nutrition of meat. Dogs are carnivores. Dogs are not omnivores. Dogs have evolved to tolerate small amounts of plants and vegetables in their diets. The canine organism will begin to build up toxicity if it is forced to digest an excessive amount of plants and vegetables because their organs are not capable of properly metabolizing and breaking down such human food groups.

Warning on Dog Food Labels

Stop taking ingredient & nutrition labels as gospel! Many dog food companies lie while others deceive. This is common across the spectrum - kibble, raw, frozen, air-dried, freeze-dried, wet, "oven baked," and whatever the next gimmick will be.
Dog food companies list ingredients in order of "pre-processing" weight before the water content is reduced to 10% in the final kibble product. Raw beef is 73% water, uncooked rice is 12%. Kibble is 10%.
In 10 pounds of kibble, as little as 2 lbs of raw beef may be used in production, yet it is often listed as the primary ingredient by weight. However, after processing, this equates to approximately 0.5 lb of cooked beef (at 10% moisture content) on an as-fed basis, while the same bag may contain nearly 2 lbs of cooked rice. Additional fillers can then comprise substantial portions, such as 1.9 lbs or 1.8 lbs, contributing to the overall composition. Meaning you could be inadvertedly feeding your dog 94% junk fillers and 6% meat.

Compare that to 30 lbs of raw beef & organs that go into making 10 lbs of Grand Future Dog Food.

Reference Feeding Guide

Grand Future American Bulldogs

Please Note:

All dogs have different levels of activity and metabolism. This is a general guide applicable to Grand Future American Bulldogs who typically weigh 105-130 lbs at maturity. Please contact us for individual guidance.

Just put Grand Future Dog Food into the bowl right from the bag; no need to rehydrate, but you can add water if you wish - some dogs prefer that while others don't. Our air-dried beef food does not expand in the stomach like kibble.

Your dog's stool will be smaller and darker in color compared to kibble-feeding.
Same stool consistency and texture as from raw beef consumption.
